Change Detection and Object Discovery in Video

Suggested Uses

This software is used to automate security video cameras, by analyzing the video to discover objects by watching for activity, and then evaluating the compact changed regions. Application to homeland security systems and automated security camera systems.

Advantages

The software detects the motion of objects and proceeds to analyze the nature of that object. After the detection of the change in the scene, the software then obtains high resolution images of compact change regions which are sent to an object recognizer for identification. This allows the detection of significant objects coming into the view of a security camera, while being able to distinguish insignificant motion, such as the movement of leaves by the wind.
