A naturally occurring compound has been shown to be effective in the re-uptake of other pharmacological compounds and can potentially be used in the treatment of colon cancer, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and other gastrointestinal disorders. The treatment using this re-uptake compound is easier given that it occurs naturally in the small intestine in small amounts and in larger amounts has been shown to have anti-cancer fighting properties.
