home-based, near painless, minimally invasive blood serum collection card for health & wellness testing

Suggested Uses

A minimally invasive, nearly painless, convenient form of health and wellness testing - the future of blood testing.

Advantages

Whether it's the insulin levels of a diabetic, PSA levels of a prostate cancer patient, or the cholesterol levels of a patient with cardiovascular disease, patients with these and other diseases likely visit their physicians on a regular basis to monitor particular substances in their blood which paint the picture of their prognosis & progress. Presently, these patients have to schedule appointments, perhaps take off work, schedule baby-sitters, fight the afternoon traffic & endure the pain of the large needles used to get their blood drawn by phlebotomists or nurses in labs & doctors offices.  They do this because it is necessary to stay on top of their disease & frankly, there are no other accurate alternatives. Thanks to the researchers at ZRT Laboratory, they have developed a minimally invasive, nearly painless system for blood testing called Blood Spot.  It is a convenient form of health and wellness testing.  In fact, Blood Spot is the future of blood testing.  Blood Spot testing allows monitoring of fasting insulin, cholesterol, prostate specific antigen, hormone levels, cardiometabolic markers & Vitamin D, etc. in the privacy of the patient's home.  With the convenient collection of blood from a tiny nick of the finger, they place the blood drops on a filter card that is then mailed to the laboratory from anywhere in the world with results available online.  Not only does this process eliminate the time consuming, stressful steps currently associated with getting blood drawn, it also allows for flexibility of testing at the right time of day, month or following hormone therapy, for example. Blood Spot testing provides results on par with those from serum tests but without the cost and inconvenience of conventional blood draws, making it beneficial for both patient and practitioner. Though there are some at-home tests available in the market, Blood Spot is the first to offer such a consistent, high level of accuracy. Scientific published data is available that proves the accuracy & validity of tests performed using Blood Spot.
