Compounds Enhancing Platelet Production

Suggested Uses

The invention identifies novels compounds that enhance platelet production in cases where platelet number is low, such as after ionizing radiation exposure, chemotherapy, and autoimmunity.

Advantages

Existing therapy such as TPO (thrombopoietin) only enhances production of megakaryocytes but does not directly enhance the production of platelets.
