Hybridoma SF1-1 produces IgG2a monoclonal antibodies that recognize the a3 of murine H-2Kd MHC class I alloantigen. The antibody recognizes mouse a3, and has been demonstrated for use in Immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry and ELISA assays.
Suggested Uses
Immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry and ELISA
Detailed Description
The highly polymorphic nature of MHC class I genes in humans and mice is responsible for MHC restriction and graft rejection. In addition, many diseases have been associated with particular alleles of human MHC molecules. The molecular basis for these phenomena is not understood, but there is much evidence that the different allotypes of MHC class I play a crucial role in each of these immunologic phenomena
Hybridoma Production:
SJL mice were immunized with spleen cells from BALB/c mice and the resultant SJL splenocytes were fused with SP2/0 cells. Recognition of H-2Kd was confirmed by FACS analysis.
