Hybridoma Producing Monoclonal Antibodies to Mouse IgM (Igh-Cb and related haplotypes)

University of Chicago
posted on 10/20/2009

Hybridoma AF6-78.25.4 produces monoclonal antibodies that recognize the murine IgM haplotype Igh-Cb and related haplotypes. The antibodies recognize mouse Igh-Cb and have been demonstrated to work for flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and ELISA assays.

Suggested Uses

Flow cytometry, Immunofluorescence, ELISA

Detailed Description

IgM is the first antibody class produced during a humoral response. IgM is also co-expressed with IgD on the surface of B-cells. Antibody Class – Mouse IgG1 Species recognized – Mouse Hybridoma Production: BALB/c mice were immunized with spleen cells from C57BL/10 mice and the resultant BALB/c splenocytes were fused with SP2/0 cells. Recognition of IgD haplotype Igh-Ca was confirmed by FACS analysis. References: Stall, A. and M.
