EGFP-Pax2 mouse and embryonic stem cells

Innovation Details

Detailed Description

UM File # 4771

Background

Technology Description
Enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) inserted into the Pax2 gene locus such that EGFP is expressed whenever the Pax2 gene is transcribed. The EGFP insertion does not disturb the Pax2 protein, nor create a mutation in the endogenous Pax2 locus. EGFP mouse and embryonic stem cells used to make these mice can be utilized in screening assays for factors that activate the Pax2 gene.
