Novel and unique highly fluorinated beta amino acids and trifluorothreonine & analogs. 

Features/Benefits

·        Fluorinated beta amino acids and trifluorothreonine may be used to:

§  Enhance membrane permeability (including the blood brain barrier)

§  Increased stability of peptides

§  Prolong in vivo half life of peptides

§  Investigate conformation and metabolism of host peptides or proteins by 19F NMR

 

Technology Opportunity

US patent 8,052,961 covers the composition of matter and synthesis of highly fluorinated beta amino acids.  A U.S. patent application (U.S. Serial No. 12/439,320) was filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on 2/27/09 on the composition of matter and synthesis of trifluorothreonine compounds.  The invention is available for licensing under either exclusive or non-exclusive terms.
