Ms. Stoughton is currently the Associate Director of Technology Commercialization for UT Dallas. She holds an MBA (’08) from UT Dallas with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University. She joined the Office of Technology Commercialization at its inception in April 2008, and has helped to develop the capabilities of the office to assist UTD researchers to realize the commercial potential of their inventions through patenting, licensing, and formation of spin-out companies. Prior to joining UTD, Becky founded or was CEO of several internet and educational publishing businesses. She also has experience in supply chain management, business development and business intelligence in the telecommunications industry, as well as engineering management and systems engineering in the defense industry. Ms. Stoughton is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the Association of University Technology Managers, and the North Texas Angel Network, and currently serves on the board of TeXchange, a Texas-based organization for technology entrepreneurs.
